INTERNATIONAL LAWYERS ASSISTING WORKERS (ILAW) NETWORK
In December 2018, a global network of trade union and workers' rights lawyers and advocates, the ILAW Network, was established. While there are associations of labor lawyers in some countries and regions, we identified the absence of such an association at the global level. Due to the increasing internationalization of labor issues, we believe that it is essential for the effective representation of trade unions and workers that there is a means of bringing lawyers and academics together to exchange information and ideas. We hope that the ILAW Network will be vital to the promotion of workers' rights worldwide. The ILAW Network already has over 400 members in more than 50 countries, representing workers on every continent. The ILAW Network also has local chapters in Kenya and Nigeria.
